Manuscript preparation.

Manuscripts should not exceed 50 pages, must be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition, and must be typed double-spaced throughout including cover sheet, abstract and keywords, text, references, and tables/figures. Articles should be written in English. All articles should include an English abstract of no more than 200 words. Manuscripts are submitted for unidentified review; therefore, the author’s name, degree, and affiliation should appear on the cover sheet only, which should also include the article title and the complete mailing address and telephone number of the author designated to review proofs.

Submitting the manuscript.

Manuscripts can be currently submitted using the Journal’s electronic submission system. Please follow the link and fill in all required details, providing the author name and affiliation for the corresponding author (the one performing the submission) in the required fields, so that a confirmation of submission receipt can be sent to this author. However, please provide the full names and affiliations of all authors (also mentioning the corresponding author) in a mandatory title page, separately from the rest of the manuscript. A separate field will be provided for the manuscript and the title page, so as all authors with affiliations can be registered, which still providing a blinding for the manuscript. The corresponding author will receive a confirmation e-mail once a manuscript number has been assigned. For manuscript-related inquiries, please also contact the Editor.

The corresponding author should provide a cover letter confirming that the manuscript is not being concurrently reviewed by another journal. All correspondence concerning the manuscript shall be conducted between the editor of the journal  and the corresponding author. The opinions and statements published are the responsibility of the authors, and such opinions and statements do not necessary represent the policies of the International Institute or the views of the editor. By submitting a manuscript, the authors agree that the copyright for their article is transferred to the International Institute, if and when the article is accepted for publication.

Peer review
JEBP operates a double blind review process. All manuscripts are initially assessed by the editor for suitability for the journal. Articles considered suitable are then sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles.

Double-blind review
This journal uses double-blind review, which means the identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.  To facilitate this, please include the following separately:

1.Title page (with author details): This should include the paper title, author names, author affiliation(s), author note, running head, acknowledgements, and a complete address for the corresponding author including an e-mail address. Please follow the APA recommendations. See sample document.

2. Abstract page (with keywords): Please follow the APA recommendations. See sample document.

3. Cover letter (with author details): Please follow the APA recommendations on how to prepare the cover letter for manuscript submission. See sample document.

4. Blinded manuscript (no author details): The main body of the paper (including the references, figures, tables and any acknowledgements) should not include any identifying information, such as the authors names or affiliations.

Publication Policies.

The Journal of Evidence-Based Psychotherapies requires authors to comply with APA Ethical Standards for research and publication regarding:

1. informed consent;
2. human and animal rights; and
3. conflict of interest (for details please see the APA Ethical Principles).

Authors are required to state in writing that they have complied with APA ethical standards in the treatment of their sample, human or animal.

All contributing authors are required to reveal any possible conflict of interest in the conduct and reporting of research (e.g., financial interests in a test procedure, funding by pharmaceutical companies for drug research).

Should there be no conflicts of interest (as exemplified above or detailed in the APA Ethical Principles), authors are required to state this accordingly: I hereby declare that there are no potential conflicts of interest associated with this publication, and that any financial support has been noted in the Acknowledgment section.
